First Masses, a grace-filled occasion

The Church has seen the joy of and benefitted from the graces obtained from the first Masses of seven newly ordained priests, and She will continue to benefit for years to come.

On Saturday, June 4th, seven new priests offered their First Masses in various locations of the Seminary, and they were overflowing with the visiting faithful.

A First Mass is typically preceded by the chanting of the "Veni creator spiritus" and is followed by the chanting of the "Magnificat." As is customary, the newly ordained priest administers his first distribution of holy communion to his parents, even before the inferior ministers receive holy communion.

All those who attended the First Masses on June 4th were able to benefit from the Church's provision of a plenary indulgence under the normal conditions.

We would like to make available for you the attached photo gallery of pictures to take part in the joy of the occasion.

As always, we ask that you continue to pray for the perseverance of these priests as they begin their ministry in Our Lord's vineyard and continue the redemption of mankind.

O Lord, grant us priests.

O Lord, grant us holy priests.

O Lord, grant us many holy priests.

O Lord, grant us many holy religious vocations.

O Lord, grant us many holy Catholic families.
